To continue with its initiatives to promote art and culture, as well as awareness and risk prevention in the country, Seguros SURA presented the documentary “In Search of the Blue Heart” by journalist and documentary filmmaker Amelia Deschamps in Bonao, hometown of the producer.
The screening of the documentary, held at the Plaza de la Cultura de Bonao, seeks to contribute to the appreciation of the cultural symbols of the country, and to reflect on the challenges and risks faced by the miners of Barahona to extract the larimar stone. This human audiovisual tries to raise the voice to a social issue that needs to be discussed, by focusing on the lives of human beings, in the story of the miners who extract our national stone: the larimar.
